Inbal is a multi-instrumentalist and multilingual singer-songwriter hailing from the beautiful Mediterranean coastline of Tel Aviv, Israel, though she now mostly resides in a much less sun-soaked suburb of West London. She gained momentum last year with the release of her genre-blurring first EP, Inbal I, receiving much deserved praise from the likes of Clash Magazine, BBC Introducing and Fresh On The Net.
Taking influence from Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Bjork, Inbal has a rich and touching sound to her music. Inbal returns this summer with We Just Said It All, the first song off her forthcoming EP. This new song features a calm and melodic pop sound surrounded by a range of interesting and complex harmonies.
In her debut EP, Inbal I, where the four-track project invoked powerful autobiographical experiences and stories from her life, Inbal revealed different elements of various genres that inspire her songwriting. Now in different time and space in her life, she said of We Just Said It All:
“Sometimes in the most loving relationships, you find yourself in a position where you don’t always ‘get’ each other fully. It’s my unromantic way of saying that despite complex differences, love between two people really does conquer all.”
