Edward Sansom is a dynamic up and coming artist from Brighton. He fuses catchy melodies with a dark melodic experience ~ an intoxicating cocktail of Bowie, Gaz Coombes and Everything Everything.
Sansom says: “I aim to create a melancholic euphoria within my songs – to cut through the sweetness of pop with a razor sharp blade. Inventing a blissful yet cold ‘New Dark Pop’ genre”.
Sansom is a “charismatic force on stage” and has performed on official stages at Glastonbury, Great Escape and has sold out headline shows at the Hope and Ruin in Brighton. He won a bursary from the Real Unsigned Project [Arts Council England] to record his tracks.
Sansom then gained support from the local BBC Introducing team, having his tracks chosen as Track of the Day on BBC Sussex & BBC Surrey, with his recent release ‘Headlock’ specifically picked for the Drive Time Show. Edward Sansom is releasing his new material throughout 2019 and is one to watch. His new songs will stay circling in your head long after you have finished with them, but they won’t be finished with you.
