Beginning as the solo project of singer, songwriter, and producer Conor McCabe, Son of Cabe became fully realised upon McCabe collaborating with drummer and co-producer Jack Holland after the two met at university. Since then , the Guildford-based duo have been implementing their 80s pop influence into their own sonic blend to create a sound that is truly their own. Remaining as consistent with their releases in 2020 as they have been in previous years, Son of Cabe brings us ‘Whistler’, their fourth single release this year. Implementing their sleek pop sound into a rhythmic rock framework, ‘Whistler’ felt undeniably engaging. We feel that this band is setting themselves up for greatness indeed, as shown by this awesome tune.
