SABRINA GUNSTON is a singer-songwriter from Brighton. For the last six months, she’s been really busy.
Numerous plays on BBC radio, live gigs, recording songs and now releasing a new single and a video “Liquid Gold” that is climbing up the Indie Top 39. I reached out to Sabrina to talk?about the new song.
The song represents finding happiness. Whether it?s within yourself or someone you love or something that you love. Once you realise it. Hold onto it. Keep it.
That?s what the song is about. Hopefully with it?s relaxed, chilled out vibe it can make you feel comfortable and at ease. A steady rhythm, simple vocals and a catchy hook which will stay with you for a little while keeping you on that high from love.
“Liquid Gold” always looks dreamy, the way it shimmers and the way it looks like silk. It has the element of ?everybody wanting a bit? but maybe not realising they might have it right in front of them.
I hope my listeners can relate to this song in any way. I hope they can experience different?emotions while listening to it. “Liquid Gold” is a little different to my music that?s already up online but I love experimenting with new sounds and new ideas.?The only way you can get better is by experimenting more.
We all have so much creativity inside of us and I feel lucky to be able to put mine into creating music that I love and even luckier, music that other people love too.
For the video, SABRINA and the team rented out a space in Brighton and did an all-day shoot. Her friend Max Rose-Fyne was working behind the camera and created a masterpiece with the help of his friends Edward Sansom, Josh Halvatzis and Helena Curtis.
