‘Glad I Found You’ is the deeply personal, brand new single from Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Pekky Savan. Written in April 2020 at the height of the worldwide pandemic, ‘Glad I Found You’ is a delicate love song that even the artist herself didn’t see coming. “I was cooped up during quarantine and feeling more alone than ever,” said Savan. “It was the last place on earth I ever thought I would find love…but I did.” Produced by Harper James at Degraw Studios, ‘Glad I Found You’ is an intricate, downbeat, and floaty tune. The beautiful instrumentals serve as the ideal vehicle for Savan’s mellow and comforting vocals, as she reminds listeners to never give up on finding love and accepting the fact that we’re all deserving of it. Influenced by the likes of Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage, Switchfoot, and Queen, Pekky Savan is certainly one to keep an eye (and an ear) on!
Delicate, sincere, and heart-warming, ‘Glad I Found You’ is a little gem of a track from a super talented singer/songwriter.

What does the song mean to you?
This song is about when you fall into the deep cracks of life where there is very little hope to be found. If you’re in the darkest part of your life, it’s possible you’ll stumble into something that can change your life for the better. You’ll start to see glimmers of light and just feel grateful for realizing that there is always hope in hopeless situations.
Who do you hope the song resonates with the most?
I hope this song resonates with anyone who is too afraid of letting someone in or allowing someone to love them. Love is meant for anyone who is open to it. It can be scary but it can also be amazing.
Tell us about your creative process and how the song came to be?
I wrote this song in April of 2020 on a late night after getting off a call with someone I was developing strong feelings for. I was falling in love, but also feeling freaking out! When I’m inspired enough, I’ll start strumming my guitar and a song will just come out of me from start to finish. That’s pretty much what happened with ‘Glad I Found You.’ One year later, I was in the studio recording it with Harper James at Degraw Studios!
What would your life be like without music?
My life would have an empty void if I didn’t have music. I work in tech and as a creative, so I need an outlet to express myself. I can’t always put my feelings and emotions into mere words. I need music to help me really and vulnerably share how I feel.
