‘Mémoire Saccadée’ will take you on a peaceful and reflective journey. The elegant and graceful piano piece is truly stunning. London based composer, Oscar Kowalski, has created an insanely beautiful piano piece that would be worthy of being on the soundtrack to a movie like Nomadland (it just has that feel to it) The Truman Show too – you get the idea. A pure, sincere and emotional offering from the talented musician, who needs no lyrics to get his message and expressions across. Just a man and his piano. The minimalist nature of Mémoire Saccadée (Jerky Memory) has a calming and peaceful affect, and creates a dreamlike space that is comforting and tranquil. Drawing on influences like Max Richter and Johann Johansson, Kowalski focuses on quality over quantity, each note specifically chosen to serve a particular purpose. There’s a charming romance to Mémoire Saccadée, and that feeling stays with you long after the song has finished.

This track is part of an emotional piano song collection Oscar is putting together. As a prolific composer, he is planning on releasing new material soon. His main inspirations come from Romantic and Impressionist composers such as Erik Satie or Claude Debussy, but also more recent composers such as Olafur Arnalds, Max Richter, and Yann Tiersen.
Music is the perfect medium to convey the inexpressible.
