Who exactly is Nobody’s Wolf Child? All we know is that they’re an act that has just produced one of the most interesting, dark-pop pieces that we at Indie Top 39 have heard in ages! Based somewhere in South East England, ‘Green Fires’ is Nobody’s Wolf Child’s fourth single of the year and marks the beginning of a trilogy of work.
A pensive, mellow, and hypnotic beat allows for the lead vocalist’s ethereal and chilling vocals to take front and centre. And I believe it’s these vocals that have seen Nobody’s Wolf Child develop a solid following in a short space of time. “I’ll turn your forest into plains, you won’t even miss the smell of rain. I’ll set the land free from its chains, the wind can blow but we’ll never age.” It’s pure poetry and storytelling of the highest order. We’re so glad to have discovered Nobody’s Wolf Child, and we’re confident that you will be too!

What does the song mean to you?
Well, it has a lot of sentimental meaning because of how long we’ve been together and I think it was probably the first song I wrote that I felt was really “my sound”. ‘Green Fires’ uses naturally occurring wild fire and the consequential changes to the landscape as a metaphor for the changes within the self as we interact with external forces.
Who do you hope the song resonates with the most?
I hope all the tracks resonate with those minds that just love to be taken on an adventure, so when they listen to the songs their imaginations are just let loose and they can spend the duration in another world.
Which Netflix series or movie would you like your music to be featured in?
I would just love any of the GOT spin-offs. It’s a dream to be the soundtrack while one of those flawlessly beautiful dragons flies into battle and turns everything to ash.
What would your life be like without music?
Without music, there would be no life. It has moulded the way I experience everything. It’s who I am to the bone. It’s my best friend. The shadow that walks with me everywhere.
