‘All or Nothing’ is the truly incredible, genre-blending new single from Los Angeles-based alternative musician Jill Daisy Max. Working alongside Daniel Jakubovic, who wrote and produced the tune, the pair have created a rocky, melodic, and complex track that stays with you long after your first listen. Blending elements of 80s pop with classic, old-school rock and roll, ‘All or Nothing’ has a little something for everyone, and you know that’s what we just love here at Indie Top 39!
As the name suggests, ‘All or Nothing’ sees both musicians pouring their heart and soul into the song, and leaving it all out on the field, so to speak. Jill says that they’re both “all or nothing type of people”, and “feel things to the max or not at all”. That energy, zest, and liveliness shine through beautifully on ‘All or Nothing’, and we can’t wait to hear more from Jill Daisy Max in the future!
A genre-blending, rocky, and complex track, ‘All or Nothing’ showcases some serious talent!
INDIE TOP 39
What does the song mean to you?
Both Daniel Jakubovic and I are ‘All or Nothing’ types of people. We feel things to the max or not at all. If we love we love fully and if we give we give completely. Our mutual emotional capacity is part of why we gel so beautifully in making music together. We are also huge lovers of the 80s and we grew up with rock ‘n roll and sweaty dudes and dudettes rocking hard. We are not exactly the one-octave midi keyboard kind of people. Hashtag eat it.
Which Netflix series or movie would you like your music to be featured in?
Peaky Blinders! For a hot, insane, all-or-nothing love scene. Or in an attack on enemies with the first hit and this song enters with the powerful rock ‘n roll roar and intense guitar solo.
What does success mean to you?
In some way, there is no doubt that being on huge stages, having millions of listeners and followers, hitting number 1 on billboards, and working with big artists would be the success we all seek. But in a way, just creating and sharing would be all I need to feel successful.
What are your favourite lyrics in the song?
“Let me show you the place I dive to an empty mind“ Showing someone your deepest thoughts till you go down all the way to the bottom where it’s finally empty, how rare is that! I love that part in this song.
