Hybrid Kid are a 3 piece indie outfit who have had success playing in notable UK shows and venues as well as a stint in the US and support from BBC 6 Music and college radio. There is a grungy, 90’s glam feel to this track. It’s got its feet firmly planted in the Britpop era of gloriously catchy choruses and guitar-driven goodness as far as the eyes can see. What comes through most apparently is the controlled and honed musicality and arrangement; guitar riffs make way for soaring vocals which in turn give space to thick drum grooves, all working in tandem for the ultimate listening experience. It sounds like an effortless balancing act but there is some serious craftsmanship behind this compelling wash of indie rock. I can see why these guys have gained somewhat of a cult following for their expert delivery and iconic, Britpop sound.
