New York-based singer/songwriter, Goldie Scott, recently released her brand new tune ‘Little Robots’, a dark, alternative, R&B pop song that you simply just have to hear for yourself. Inspired by the Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma, ‘Little Robots’ sees Scott expressing her concerns with today’s social media environment, and the negative effects it has on society. “Did you think that we would all stay blind? Ya didn’t think we’d read between the lines?” she asks. “Programmed just to lose our sense of time, taught to never open up our eyes.” The track was produced by Grammy-award winning producer “Bassy” Bob Brockmann, who has worked with the likes of Mary J. Blige and Christina Aguilera, so it’s safe to say that Scott is in seriously good hands. And when your vocals are being compared to the likes of Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse, and Miley Cyrus, you must be doing something right!
‘Little Robots’ is an eclectic, dark, and somewhat haunting tune from an immensely talented artist.

What does the song mean to you?
This song is a wake-up call. Blending elements of robot sounds and slide guitar, ‘Little Robots’ introduces the daunting future of the digital age. After watching the popular Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma, I was inspired to write lyrics addressing the problems occurring with social media. ‘Little Robots’ deliberately utilizes modern production elements such as vocal layers, 808s, and synths to symbolize the age of technology we are in.
Which Netflix series or movie would you like your music to be featured in?
The Social Dilemma or The Social Network would be the perfect fit for this song, since I wrote the song based off of The Social Dilemma and the effects of social media and lack of privacy we have.
What does success mean to you?
Success in my eyes means not only being able to support myself by creating and sharing my art, but also being able to make a deep impact on others with my music.
What are your favourite lyrics in the song?
“Louder, just speak louder, you know they listen every hour, to our conversations, all over the nation, the books got hidden information, so open up and flip the pages.”
