‘Bridge Burn’ is the first official release of any kind for Pittsburgh-based songwriter and producer Ethan Jovanovich. Better known by his moniker Eloe, the musician believes that he’s finally found the signature sound he’d been searching for – and we at Indie Top 39 couldn’t agree more!
As the first track of a five-part series that will be called HEARTBREAK IN PA, ‘Bridge Burn’ sees Eloe expertly blend elements of pop, R&B, and modern hip-hop, as he channels the raw emotions of an unexpected breakup into an infectious and cracking tune. “Suddenly you’re saying I was never your type, tell me what you mean what was going through your mind,” sings Eloe. “When you said I love you for the very last time.” Drawing on a wide range of influences – The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, and Justin Bieber just to name a few, we can’t wait to hear what Eloe does next!

What does the song mean to you?
This song means a lot to me because of the story behind it and because it is my first official release under the name Eloe. Not only is it very personal to me, but it also gives me the opportunity to connect with people on a personal level. When I was writing ‘Bridge Burn’ I was fresh out of a breakup that I didn’t see coming. I wanted to channel all of the emotion that I was feeling and create a song that could help people who are going through a similar situation!
What inspired you to share the song with the world?
Sharing ‘Bridge Burn’ with the world was not a hard choice for me at all. I know that a lot of people go through the same/similar things, and I really wanted more than anything to be able to connect with them on a more personal level. I would love to create a community where we all support each other and help each other heal!
When did you realise that music is what you wanted to do?
I was really lucky in the sense that I found out what my passion was at a very young age. I can’t remember a time in my life where I didn’t know that music might be something that I want to pursue. With ‘Bridge Burn’ I think that I have finally found my sound, and I can’t wait to share the other music that I have been working on!
Please finish the sentence – Music to me is…
Everything if I am being honest. Whether I am creating music or just listening to music, it is something that is a huge part of my daily life. While I love writing and producing, I also love lying down and listening to an album all the way through. For me, music is what keeps me sane.
