‘Two Birds’ by UK-based Ben Dalby wastes no time setting the fun, effervescent groove. Cool melodies dance all over supported by cool harmonies in the backing vocals. It wastes no time setting the easy-going and quirky atmosphere. One of my favorite parts was how unpredictable the instrumental was. At times opting for traditional piano lines, at others squeaks and vocal chops. No matter how unique of a sound was used, it’d meld perfectly into the texture alongside the cool vocals.
Light optimism melded easily with themes of love, resulting in this unforgettable song. ‘Two Birds’ will stay stuck in your head for hours after listening. Between memorable chorus’ and an instrumental unlike anything else, it’s guaranteed to leave an impression. All it takes is the first minute to engrain the melodies in your head and have you singing along by the end. A wonderfully fun song, that will lift up even the gloomiest of days.

I would like my music to be featured in a Netflix adaptation of any book written by Patricia Briggs. Failing that, I’d have it in show up in a quiet stretch in a Luc Besson sci fi!
