Bar Dog, the singer/songwriter based out of Germany, brings out the harrowing beauty of meeting up with an old friend on his latest release, ‘For Old Times’ Sake’. Not only was it delicate and pretty, but tells the story in a way that makes you feel like you’re there yourself.
‘For Old Times’ Sake’ is perfectly content moving at its own speed. Never feeling the need to fill any silence, the song drifts along. Contemplative and pretty, the vocals direct the movement phenomenally. Deep and poetic, they capture the mood perfectly. Much like reminiscing on the past there’s no reason to rush along. Instead, the space allows the lyrics to hang in the air for a moment just resonating. It helped bring out the beauty that’s tucked into the rhythm section. Light and easy to listen to, Bar Dog did a great job making an emotional song that captures the beauty of looking back at the past.
Beautiful and emotional, ‘For Old Times’ Sake’ is a phenomenal listen.
