Although bedroom pop describes a genre of music, it usually isn’t made in the bedroom. That being said, UK-based singer/songwriter Addezine shows that sometimes the best music can be made in one’s bedroom with his sophomore release, ‘Through My Hands’.
Groovy relaxed vocals set the easy-going floating atmosphere. Once the bass enters everything shifts, bringing the song out of its halftime feel. It wasn’t only the tempo that changed though, the whole vibe gets funkier and looser. Synthesizers float in the background giving a nostalgic, familiar feeling to every new cadence. Every transition happened seamlessly, expanding to the texture without losing what was happening. An awesome listening experience.
Never working harder than they had to while still keeping the chilled almost nonchalant energy, the lyricism was playful and cool, fitting the delivery perfectly. ‘Through My Hands’ was incredibly well-rounded, easy to listen to, and easy to enjoy.
One of my favorite parts was the consistency of the vocals. They’d effortlessly command attention and direct the vibe

What does ‘Through My Hands’ mean?
To me, the song represents the feelings you get when you start to see the signs of a relationship coming to an end. The song makes me think about summertime and how I was feeling during it. I guess its just a big reflection on how things always come to end, just like how the seasons change.
Which Netflix series or movie would you like your music to be featured in?
This is a tough question. It’s not on Netflix but I love ‘Euphoria’. The music choice on that show is so good so I think it would have to be that. Although if they made another series of ‘Bojack Horseman’ I would pick that too. I binged that show over summer and loved it so much.
What does success mean to you
This is always difficult to answer because I think that I’m always moving the goalposts for myself. If you asked me this a couple years ago I would have been happy just writing and finishing a song which I liked. But every time you achieve a goal you set yourself, you just raise the bar even higher. So I’m not sure really. It’s an amazing feeling when people resonate with my music so I guess this would be success to me. To just keep on writing songs which people genuinely enjoy.
Tell us about your creative process and how the song came to be?
So I actually wrote the song to the song sometime in the summer. I recorded a rough demo and then I just kind of got busy with life and stuff so I didn’t touch it for a long time. Then I guess during September/October time the song started to really resonate with me again. I tried to re-record better vocals for it but I thought that the original ones had more character so I just left them how they were. I added some extra instruments and polished up the demo but it was a fairly quick process and most of the track was completed in the summer, I just put the finishing touches on it a few months later.
