Y The Ghost » Find Us (Beyond)
Atmospheric and beautiful, ‘Find Us (Beyond)’ is breath-taking
INDIE TOP 39
Light and vibey, ‘Find Us (Beyond)’ is gorgeous. This latest release from the Denver-based artist Y The Ghost combines easy-listening with an enveloping soundscape. I simply loved how well the gentle vocals complemented the easy-going synthesizers. Every voice in the texture layered perfectly together showing off the details and letting each part shine. At points bordering on ethereal, the harmonies are gorgeous. This one of a kind listening experience is equal parts interesting and just pretty. Sometimes opting for ornamenting the details, while at others just letting the beauty speak for itself. A truly unforgettable release.

Gabrielle Ornate » Spirit Of The Times
‘Spirit Of The Times’ was cool, modern, and an awesome listening experience
INDIE TOP 39
Although the word anthem has been beat into the ground when describing music, UK-based singer/songwriter Gabrielle Ornate’s latest release perfectly defines what an anthem is. Titled ‘Spirit Of The Times’ this cool new song is powerful, catchy, and intriguing through the entirety. Led by huge vocals, the whole energy is encaptivating. I found myself constantly impressed by both the awesome presence Ornate provides, and how well the band supports that vibe. There’s never a moment that lulls or doesn’t fit. Instead, the high-energy burns like a match – intense and unrelenting. A great release that is sure to find its way onto one of your playlists.

Luce » Lamplight
‘Lamplight’ was beautiful, and a delight to listen to.
INDIE TOP 39
From the poetic lyricism to the commanding vocals, there are plenty of good things about the Cambridge-based singer song/writer Luce’s newest release ‘Lamplight’. It wasn’t only the vocals that grabbed my attention, however. I loved the presence of the rhythm section. Even through the lighter parts they sounded unrestrained and helped the lead melody push the mood. Not only that, but it helped spotlight the talent of frontwoman Luce. Both easy to listen to, and upbeat this pretty track manages to suit all sorts of different moods – pulling at your heartstrings but in a good sort of way!

More In Luv » Living For Two
Fun, exciting, and just awesome all around – we loved ‘Living For Two’!
INDIE TOP 39
My absolute favorite part of ‘Living For Two’ was how relatable it was. Too often in popular music it’s easy to focus on the extremes. Perfect love, million dollar cars, and unrealistic lifestyles. More In Luv, however, captures the feeling of just wanting to be content. This playful, exciting release will stay stuck in your head for hours and have you grooving to the beat in your head. It’s fun and catchy while still being a good song. Repetitive vocals drill the melodies into your head as the edm-esque instrumental sets the high-energy and passionate vibe. A great song for the dance floor, your car, or wherever you need a cool easy-going song.

Prince Li » Feel The Fall
‘Feel The Fall’ is an instant classic
INDIE TOP 39
Debut singles are always a pivotal moment for artists. It’s the first chance they get to embody who they are and what their vibe is. Prince Li, the bedroom pop singer-songwriter from the UK seized this opportunity with their phenomenal song ‘Feel The Fall’. Sounding mature and innovative, the energy on this song is exciting and new. I loved how playful and honest the lyricism was while still locking into the groove. Everything felt like it settled together seamlessly, allowing the relaxed vocals to lead the mood. Whenever a new voice entered the texture it was unique, yet fit alongside the other voices perfectly. Not only was this a great debut, but a great song in general.
