The week brings not only a new number 1 but a brand new name in the?music business. BALU made a debut only a week ago.
The Lithuanian 3-piece band bring a?world class video that symbolises the development of the band. BILLY LOCKET slipped to Number 3, while TOM GRENNAN climbed to Number 2 with “Praying”.
NEW ENTRIES
The week brings 8 new entries. The second new entry is the third single from GOLDFRAPP‘s latest album “Silver Eye” and so far it is the most successful performance in our chart. The haunting video was directed by the lead singer ALISON.
“Deliverance” (new at Number 11) is the latest single from London based music project RATIONALE who delivered an amazing live performance earlier this week at a full ELECTRIC BRIXTON. So far, it was one of the best live gigs of 2017 for me.
TASH SULTANA is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter and looping artist from Melbourne. “Jungle” is her first single to enter the chart at Number 15. In the video below you can see how she builds the song from scratch using a looping machine.
Another new name in the chart – MOONCHILD is a 3-piece band from L.A. who release their first single “Cure” (new at Number 20) from their third album “Voyageur” that will be released on the 26th of May.
DADDY WAS A MILKMAN is back with a brand new dreamy song “Bed, a Book & a Smoke”. Even though it makes a shy debut comparing to his previous songs, it might be just a matter of time before it enters the TOP 10.
Same goes for YOUNGR. He just finished his American tour and the video for “Monsters” lets you see the energy of his live shows. Sadly I missed his gig in London however, I’m sure the time will come. “Monsters” is new at Number 24.
The last new entry belongs to a duo from Belarus – ALEXANDER GODART & DAYATE. I’m sure that “Other Way” will grow on me and that Number 29 is just the beginning.
