This week’s number 1 is…
The final number one of 2018 belongs to an English folk artist JOHN SMITH with “Hummingbird” that climbed two places.
New entries
This week we have four new entries., three of those ended straight in the TOP 10.
The highest new entry belongs to the artist who reached out to me recently. Let me introduce you – BEAUTIFUL THING from Hertfordshire. Their debut single “Waiting” landed straight at number three.
ANGIE MCMAHON is one of my favourite artists from Australia. Her version of NEIL YOUNG’s “Helpless” was recorded several months ago and sadly it was lost on my playlists. I re-discovered it and it shoots to number five.
AMANDA PALMER needs no introduction. She’s a poet, writer, singer who inspired many independent artists with her “The Art Of Asking” Ted Talk. I believe “Drowning In The Sound” is Amanda’s best song to date and she enters the chart at number seven.
JACKO HOOPER (real name JACK ALEXANDER) is a singer-songwriter from Brighton who makes his first appearance on the Indie Top 39 with “Sidelines” at number eighteen.
