The unimaginable just happened. SEA BED’s?“Silent?Song” two weeks ago was at Number 30, today they climb 4 places to become the 51st Number 1.
Sadly, on the 20th of May, the band announced?the end of the band. I discovered them way too late. GUNDELACH’s “Garden” slides 1 place to Number 2.
NEW ENTRIES
The week brings 6 new entries.?The highest one belongs to a London-based band?JAGARA.?3 sisters and a drummer deliver a dreamy love song “Real Love” (No. 8). I can’t wait for to see the bands performing live again next Monday when they will be opening for HUNDRED WATERS, who’s single “Particle” is in the TOP 10 as well.
It seems that BETH DITTO is everywhere. Her previous single “Fire” just left the chart, she had a sold out concert in OMEARA in London, debut album “Fake Sugar” was released and now a new single “In and Out” makes a debut at Number 10.
I can admit that Irish band VINCI is one of the biggest discoveries. Their first single “Lions” stormed the chart earlier this year. You can imagine that I was anxious to hear a new song. Even though a follow up “Liars” was released on iTunes a while ago, the song appeared on Spotify just last week. I’m sure that the song will grow on me, for now, “Liars” debuts at Number 16.
Another artist who has previously reached Number 1 – YOUNGR is back with an acoustic version of the latest track “Monsters”. It is right to say that it can be titled as “Hymn for those who are trying to survive school” (Number 20).
JAMES GILLESPIE debut single in the chart “What You Do” did pretty well. This week he released his adaptation of PINK’s classic “Don’t Let Me Get Me”. The song that rocketed PINK into crazy heights.
The last new entry belongs to an American band VITA AND THE WOOLF. Members of the band approached me few times and it took me a while to actually listen to their music. But I guess the time has come and “Sun Drop” starts its journey at Number 25.
