This week our friend and singer-songwriter Dean Knill climbs five places to the top spot! There’s something magical about the acoustic version of his second single ‘Butterflies & Warning Signs’. Concratulations buddy on your very first number 1.
This week we have eight new entries and four of them ended up entering TOP 13. The highest new entry belongs to EJ Mann who admitted to be using very different strategy to reach his fans. He re-released his debut single ‘It’s Automatic’ on Spotify, however he is selling his music directly to fans via his website.
We named Dom Mallin’s single ‘Eye of the Storm’ as the single of the week a while ago. Not sure how this happened but managed to keep it out from entering the chart. We fixed this mistake and today the song lands at number six.
We connected with Luna Keller after she pitched her song and then we ended up talking during one of our IGTV live sessions we did last week. Then she attended our virtual event The Power of Indie on Saturday and everything just clicked. I remember I got super emotional watching her video last week and I got to say she is one of the coolest people I’ve met lately.
SERENA is a force of nature and in her hard-hitting single, the spoken-word gem ‘Wild Lavender’, a climate
change themed piece, the track wants to denounce a certain political attitude, calling instead for responsibility and care for our own planet.
JYLDA needs no introduction. Our love for her personality and music is neverending. She is keeping herself extremely busy as in the last two weeks she released two singles. ‘Sand in Your Eyes’ is a collaboration with Tom Saint.
From the moment we heard Bayuk & Andreas Vey ‘Arms Of Who’ we imagined ourselves just jumping into the car and driving into the night. The song has a hypnotic elements and it’s so easy to lose the track of time while listening.
Swedish band Eskobar are one of the most productive artists this year. We lost count of the singles they released and last week they finally introduced us to their latest album ‘Chapter 2’. We will be sharing our review on the album tomorrow.
The last new entry belongs to a singer-songwriter from the US Peter Stone who we discovered after he purchased the ticket for The Power of Indie. ‘Fells Reservoir’ is such a sick tune and today it starts its journey on our chart at number twenty-six.
If you like the music, make sure to give a shout on socials and tag the artists you discovered. Don’t be shy and spread the indie music vibe. Only together we can break algorithms and support the artists who are doing it all independently.
