I am very proud to introduce you to a singer-songwriter and pianist from Leeds – SHONA CROSSAN.
I discovered her a few months ago as she collaborated with WILL KILLEN on one of the most beautiful songs of this year “In Your Arms”. No wonder song made a debut straight at number 1 in #indietop39. 7 weeks later the song is still at number 1.
SHONA’s soulful debut single “Face It All” entered the chart as well and today I would like to talk about her first EP of the same name.
How do you feel finally being able to share your music with the world?
It feels great but a bit surreal. I’ve always put music out unofficially for family and friends to listen to, but it’s lovely to know that now anyone around the world could find it and enjoy it.
How long was your journey until this release?
Initially, I had planned a one-day solo recording session with the guys from Entheos Music, but it soon grew into a much bigger project which eventually became the EP. Most of my past recordings have been solo, so it was fun to finally add in the vocals and instrumentation that had been in my head.
Lyrically, the songs are all about stages of love and comfort within relationships – I hope there is at least one song everyone can relate to!

As much as I would love to make a living from music, at the moment it is separate from work, so I have made a promise to myself that whatever I do music-wise, I have to enjoy it. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Meet more musicians, gig more, write more, release more.
What would be the best way to connect with you?
I’d suggest connecting with me on all my socials! Facebook is best for announcements, Instagram is best for everyday updates and everyday life. Also, I do have physical EPs for sale – ?5 plus postage and packaging. Otherwise, people can buy on Itunes or listen on Spotify.
