Alan Peck » Dazed
Late night vibes, smooth, slow tempo instrumental and sensuous vocals, transporting you to a dream-like state of consciousness
INDIE TOP 39
Don’t you just love a slice of classic R’n’B? Late night vibes, smooth, slow tempo instrumentals, and sensuous vocals transporting you into a dream-like state of consciousness… well, that’s how we felt while listening to Alan Peck’s newest offering, the mellow jewel ‘Dazed’. With solid gospel roots, the American talent is certainly not a surprise, especially after his previous single ‘Bliss’, a welcome comeback earlier this year. Nevertheless, ‘Dazed’ showcases yet again what a wonderful songwriter he is. Channelling old-school R’n’B, the track wants to explore its authors’ romantic lyricism, focused on the “battles between infatuation and true love”. Help us shade a light, Alan. In the meantime, we’ll be listening!

Landing on European shores, Japanese/Australian talent MIZUKI introduces a new chapter of her short but intense career: the single ‘We’re Not Friends’. Debuting back in 2020 with ‘Over The Sun’, the Melbourne resident has shown times and times again she’s capable of intense lyricism and friendly melodies, in addition to crystalline vocals and contemporary artistic sensibility. The new record, ‘We’re Not Friends’, explores the dubious scenario of a friendship slowly turning into romantic affection. MOA » Beat
In Moa’s words: “this is a celebration of life, and an ode to surviving”. Recommended!
INDIE TOP 39
You might remember dark pop sensation MOA from his recent track ‘Cry Wolf’, a concoction of alternative goodness we defined as “sombre, dark tones, flooded in sultry, malleable bass matter”. Taken from a forthcoming EP, the song showcased the unique style of the London-based newcomer. Well, she stays true to our expectations, thanks to the new single ‘Beat’. Following its predecessor’s winning formula, the record delivers even more haunting vibes, big beats, gritty guitars, and twisting bass synthesizers, while exploring what it means to fight for what you really want. In Moa’s words: “this is a celebration of life, and an ode to surviving”. Recommended!
