‘I’ll Be Right Here’ is the slightly dark, deeply intimate, and ultra-soothing new single from Rotterdam-based indie-folk musician Evi Bosman. Co-written with her friend, and a name familiar to many an Indie Top 39 follower, Roos Meijer, ‘I’ll Be Right Here’ sees Bosman deliver an honest yet comforting lullaby. An eerie acoustic guitar gets the tune underway before the artist’s stunning vocals make their introduction. Layer by layer, ‘I’ll Be Right Here’ builds itself up, but maintains that intimate and cosy atmosphere the whole way through.
Drawing on inspiration from the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Alan Hampton, Bosman is crafting a unique, complex, and rich sound of her own. With her third release of the year, the musician is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down. And, for lovers of good music, that’s great news! We can’t wait to hear what the talented Evi Bosman gets up to next!
Moving, intimate, comforting, and extraordinary, ‘I’ll Be Right Here’ is simply stunning!

What does the song mean to you?
When my nephew was born, I was swept onto my feet by an overwhelming feeling of protectiveness. To bring children into this world is, in my opinion, a very brave choice: it can be a challenging and cruel place. I wanted to create a sort-of lullaby for him that would be both comforting, as well as honest in its contemplation of our society.
Who do you hope the song resonates with the most?
Anyone who feels like they need a little comfort in this wildly overwhelming world – I hope this song can bring a bit of that feeling to them.
Tell us about your creative process and how the song came to be?
I had been wanting to create a song with that notion of protectiveness for a while now, and I started with the darker and slightly ominous-sounding guitar pattern that you can hear throughout the song. When my wonderful friend and songwriter Roos Meijer was introduced to it, she immediately came up with the comforting harmonies of the chorus. While working on the lyrics and figuring out what it was exactly that I wanted to say, it soon became clear that ‘I’ll Be Right Here’ was the comforting sentiment I wished to relay.
What are your favourite lyrics in the song?
That would be the entire third verse I think, although it almost feels like one sentence to me. “There may come a day where you’ll believe Who you are is not who you should be But don’t you forget, you may feel upset But you’ll always be worthy”
