Misery Kids are a synth-pop duo hailing from the UK, and their brand new single ‘Without You’ showcases an act that continues to refine and hone in on their signature sound. Using vintage and bright synths, Misery Kids have created a nostalgic and warm atmosphere that perfectly fits with the song’s lyrical content. A tale of two friends who fall in love with each other, ‘Without You’ wrestles with the repercussions of our actions. “You know I always make the same mistakes around you, but you know I won’t be going home tonight without you.”
The tune expertly builds itself up along the way, layer by synthy layer, until reaching a crescendo that is just begging to be belted out at a festival to a large crowd. You can see it taking an already ecstatic audience to the next level! With a shared love for bands like Artist vs. Poet and Marianas Trench, we at Indie Top 39 are falling pretty hard for this duo!
Synthy, crunchy goodness. ‘Without You’ is a belter of a tune from a seriously talented duo!
