It feels like everybody could use a bit of a pick-me-up at the moment, and it also feels like Scotland-based indie-rockers Strange Dimensions somehow knew that! On their smashing new single, ‘Beauty in Crime’, the band offer up a rocky, edgy, and polished performance that just hits all the right notes. Serving as the follow-up to their incredibly well-received debut single ‘The Dregs’, ‘Beauty in Crime’ takes you on an infectious sonic rollercoaster from beginning to end.
Having been together a little over two years, Strange Dimensions are already making some serious inroads on the music scene. They’ve shared the stage with the likes of Spyres, Kyle Falconer, and just recently Shambolics, in front of over 1000 people. We at Indie Top 39 are truly psyched to have discovered this talented four-piece, and can’t wait to hear what they get up to next! Oh, and thank you for the pick-me-up!

What does the song mean to you?
A collective effort from the band, a lot of hard work put into the song, and a massive learning experience in the studio with a top producer.
What do you hope to achieve with this song?
To reach out to new fans and listeners. We also want people that come to our live shows to feel the same passion as we did when putting it together.
Tell us about your creative process and how the song came to be?
The creative process was a collective. It all started with a chord progression followed by drums and bass. The next part was the melody and how we wanted the crowd to feel when playing the song live. The final part was the lead guitar which wasn’t actually finalised until we got into the recording studio.
What does success mean to you?
Playing bigger gigs all the time and seeing the crowds get bigger. To us, we want our songs to show how energetic and passionate we are about what we do, which is why we try to put as much energy into our practices and recording as we would at our live shows.
