And now for something a little different. ‘4AM’ is the debut single from South Florida-based alternative-pop artist Hadee Dosani, who is better known simply as HADEE., and it’s a killer blend of old-school synthpop with a modern indie-rock twist. Admittedly influenced by the likes of Billy Idol and David Bowie, HADEE. also draws on inspiration from more current acts. The Killers, Arctic Monkeys, and Cage the Elephant to name just a few. It’s this beautiful and eclectic mix that we at Indie Top 39 believe gives HADEE. his original, fresh, and authentic sound.
As for ‘4AM’, the track starts off quietly, but it’s not long before it heats up, and turns into an upbeat, edgy, and catchy-as-hell banger. Exploring the idea of abandoning all inhibitions and embracing spontaneity, HADEE. has set the bar extremely high with his first release. We have a feeling though, that he’ll continue to deliver going forward!

What does the song mean to you?
Aside from ‘4AM’ being my debut as a solo artist, I was more importantly trying to convey the idea of spontaneity. I find that too many give in to overthinking rather than embracing a new experience. Life presents itself as endless crossroads and knowing when and what to go for is what you have to decide. If you take too long, you might just miss your ride.
My intention was for the listener to feel the beauty that prequels the pain we all experience even in our best relationships. Similar to the numbing shot of adrenaline you feel when you tear something, love has a warm way of easing you in. It tells you, “I’m here, but what follows may sometimes hurt.” Each of us do it for different reasons, yet the commonality we find at the end stands true for everyone: We learn more about who we really are.
Who do you hope the song resonates with the most?
Everyone out there who has felt that their path has gone opposed to what they wish. While the song may be written within such themes such as unrequited love, or right person, wrong timing, the overall concept revolves around going for what you truly want. This meaning could be applied to one pursuing their dream career, or even someone trying to get through a rather difficult point in their life. What really matters at the end of the day is how you, the listener, connects with the song. If a connection is made then I’m happy.
Which Netflix series or movie would you like your music to be featured in?
With ‘4AM’, I personally found it to have a nostalgic and cinematic feel to it. Being a lover of cinema, I could see this song working in a period film set in the 80s or even a show that may have a retro feel to it like Stranger Things or American Horror Story: 1984.
What do you want to achieve in the next 12 months with your music?
For this year, I plan to continue releasing singles to further gather an audience that enjoys my music. If all goes well, I have an album planned for the coming year.
