‘Say So’ is the brand new single (and first-ever release) from Canadian-based pop artist Lakes. Working alongside producer and mixer The Domain, the pair have created an electro-pop ballad that is dreamily euphoric, unbelievably infectious, and just an absolute cracker all around! ‘Say So’ is also a deeply personal track for Lakes, as she deals with the pain that inevitably follows a tough breakup. “If all is lost and we can’t be found,” she sings. “If you’re letting me go, why don’t you say so?” It’s hard to believe that this is actually the musician’s first release of any kind. It sounds like she’s been doing this for years! There’s confidence and experience in her vocals, and it’s exciting to think that there’s so much more music to come from this talented artist. We at Indie Top 39 will be keeping a close eye on Lakes, and believe she has a tremendously bright future ahead!
