Canadian-based singer/songwriter, Marina Bennett, masterfully explores feelings of vulnerability, love, and fear with her incredible new single ‘Til the End’. Yet another pandemic-inspired song, ‘Til the End’ is a dreamy, summery, and melodic little tune with sprinklings of R&B, synth-pop, and just an overall lush soundscape. Co-written and produced by Quenton “Q-Ten” Williams, the instrumentals allow for the silvery, soulful, and alluring vocals of Bennett to shine through. The talented songstress and self-proclaimed “sonic storyteller” weaves a beautiful story that is all too familiar. The longing for love and companionship versus the fear of opening oneself up to being hurt. “Wondering if we want to risk it all again, yeah I know you’re scared too, just hold me til the end.” With more singles planned for the near future, Marina Bennett is undoubtedly one artist worth keeping a close eye (and ear) on.
‘Til the End’ is a lush, dynamic, and haunting tune from an undeniably passionate artist.

What does the song mean to you?
‘Til the End’ was written during the pandemic we’re all facing, and reflects our desire to feel love and connection amidst the chaos and separation we have all been experiencing in the world. How do we find love in a world of separation? Is it worth the risk being vulnerable and searching for connection when we’ve been so isolated? It explores how vulnerability ultimately allows us to truly connect, and Quenton and I wanted to tap into the state of mental health that I’m sure all of us have been experiencing to some degree when it comes to anxiety, depression, and loneliness.
What inspired you to share the song with the world?
When Quenton and I first wrote this song together we wanted to write something that would feel vulnerable and connect to everyone during these difficult times we’re facing. It’s for all of us who feel lonely and disconnected while longing for a deeper connection and quite simply, love. We wanted to touch on the idea that when we’re separated from normal life activities, isolated, and lacking connection.. what is it that we truly desire? We all need love and a sense of belonging but how can we open our hearts to relationships when we’ve been so closed off for so long. Ultimately the risk is worth it because love is the only thing that can guide us through these difficult times and keep us sane.
Please finish the sentence – Music to me is…
The way that I connect to my spirit and express that intangible part of myself into this world, and how I connect with others. It’s the anchor to my heart and it’s my vehicle for self-expression, and the salve to go to when I need to hear something for inner healing or expressing blocked energy. It’s what makes life colorful, magical, expansive, and it’s the language that I’ve always spoken better than any other.
What does success mean to you?
Living life joyfully in the present moment, and staying connected to my center. It’s having a mindset of gratitude and abundance, even when the outside circumstances don’t reflect my desires or vision. It’s the ability to feel connected to life, other people, and my creative voice. It’s finding space and silence and being OK with what I’m feeling. It’s self love. There will always be more to achieve, more to gain, more to lose, and more to experience but I always feel success when I wake up and look around at my life and feel pure joy for just being here and being alive. If I can live out my life from my creative engine inside, that’s a huge bonus.
