Another week has been and gone, and with that, we have a brand new load of awesome new music. This week, we have been treated to many amazing tracks, from faces both fresh and familiar to us here at Indie Top 39.
Here are 9 tracks that we thought had to be talked about. So without further ado, lets begin.
Bella Hutton » Shadows
We were approached by Bella Hutton to listen to her third single “Shadows”. After listening to her previous two tracks, we can definitely notice that her style is rapidly evolving, with “Shadows” being the most refined song of hers released so far. We are very excited to see where this awesome artist goes from here.
Chris Wise and the Hidden Revolution » Rust
Chris Wise and the Hidden Machine also came to us with their newest track “Rust”, and it really didn’t take us long at all to love this track, along with its isolation-themed music video. Chris Wise’s vocals feel similar to those of Sam Fender and go very nicely with the steady and progressive instrumental.
Edie Bens » Cashmere Sweaters
With her first single, aptly titled “The First One”, Edie Bens already put forward an interesting and enjoyable sound. However, her sophomore single “Cashmere Sweaters”, has both a really great sense of progression and a rawness that makes it sound as if it is being performed live. It really felt effortless for us to get completely lost in this tracks awesome sound.
George Holliday & Ambr Littlr » Ride for You
Producer George Holliday has enlisted the vocal talent of Ambr Littlr on his newest track “Ride for You”. this is our first instance of hearing Ambr and we already love her voice. In fact, we feel that mixed with George’s layered and entrancing production, this collaboration feels like a match made in heaven. We’d also like to wish George a happy birthday.
JØAN » Queen of the World
JØAN got our attention after releasing their second single “Born Brave” which is doing well on our chart at the moment. Only six weeks later “Queen of the World” is released and it serves as a continuation of the empowering aesthetic made by the two badass LA women. The soulful grittiness of this tune also helps to elevate that sense of empowerment too, and it definitely rubbed off on us when listening to it.
Megan Lara Mae » Jungle
Electro Pop artist Megan Lara Mae comes to us with another amazing track. Intentionally or not, her newest single “Jungle” was released on the same day as her birthday. Her deep, indulgent and colourful electronic sound only seems to be evolving, as shown by the gorgeous and lustrous sound of “Jungle”. It truly is a treat to the ears.
Owen Denvir » This Could Be Love
With his previous single “Ghost” making it to the number 1 spot – we were excited to a brand new release from Owen Denvir. The steady beat of this track carries his soulful and ranged vocals in a way that really engaged us as listeners. In comparison to the acoustic nature of his last song “Human Touch”, “This Could Be Love” has more of a ballad-like quality to it, and broadens the versatility of his music even further.
Seeva & Emma Seeberg » Breathing – Remix
The original version of “Breathing”, which could be found on Seeva’s 2020 EP We Need To Talk-Chapter I, was already a brilliant track. However, we have been treated to even more from Seeva this week, with the fantastic remix for this track. With the vocal talent from electronic pop artist Emma Seeberg, we were able to enjoy an even more layered and engaging version of a track we already enjoyed deeply.
Will Killen » The Outside
And finally, we have our single of the week, which is the fourth single from artist Will Killen. While we have been incredibly impressed with his previous three tracks (all of which made the top spot around their releases), “The Outside” really brings forth Will Killen’s vocal talent brilliantly enough to go toe-to-toe with his debut single, and our favourite song of the previous decade “ In My Arms”.
