I first discovered an Electro Soul band 4TH PROJECT from Bristol while attending a performance of new artists at the ROUNDHOUSE in London at the beginning of this year.
The band is formed by vocalist Kathleen Fitzpatrick Milton, pianist Jack Drewry and guitarist Rowan Evans. Their music integrates soulful vocals with a keyboard, electric guitar, beatboxing and live samples. The band shapes their sound around their variety of musical influences including Soul, Jazz, Funk, Electronic Dance music and 90s R?n?B.
Very quickly I was taken over by their debut single “Taking Me Over” that made a debut in Indie Top 39 on the 18th of February. The song spent a maximum of 10 weeks and peaked at number 6. I was curious to see what the band will do next. I am excited to see they were signed to a label and are releasing a video for the single.
The track will be officially released with “Right Here” and some exciting remixes on Slime Records on the 29th of September.
